Summer Mission opportunities for every age and ability!

This July, Gresham Bible Church will be engaging with the Basque in Gresham! We have the unique opportunity to be on mission to one of Gresham Bible Church's mission focus groups, right here in our own town. But we need your help! Here are some ways you can make this mission happen:

Host

We need couples or families to join the mission by hosting a student for the month of July. It's an easy and fun way to get your whole family involved in missions simply through welcoming a high school student from the Basque region of Spain. Through your hospitality these Basque teens have a chance to experience the Gospel for the first time in their lives. In addition to showing God's love to the students, your family will also benefit from the tight-knit community that will grow from being on mission together this summer.

Serve

We need small groups to serve the host families and their students in the following ways:

  • Can you share a boat or lead a group outing? We would love to have people help by hosting or leading a student activity during July. Brainstorm and let's talk!
  • Can you cook? We need some small groups to cover the food for several activities we have planned. Your group can cook together or each person bring their own dish to the event.
  • Be an aunt/uncle, grandma/grandpa to a student. Some host families will need help juggling little kids or days they have obligations. Would you be willing to serve alongside a host family and be available to help with driving/transportation, an afternoon outing, etc?
  • Gift cards:  If you have any gift cards laying around, put them to good use by giving them to our host families to help ease the extra costs of hosting a Basque student. This can include gas cards, groceries, restaurants, movie theaters, bowling, minature golf.....
