F.A.S.T. Informational Meeting
Every Sunday until November 14, 2021
5:30pm – 6:30pm
Category: Church-WideFoster and Adoption Support Teams (F.A.S.T.) exist to surround a Foster or Adoptive Family with care
-
These Support Friends help provide relief for Foster and Adoptive families by meeting needs two times a month. Examples of needs include meals, transportation, prayer, babysitting, encouragement.
-
Each family has a Team Leader who oversees the Support Friends for the specific family. The Support Friends are a team that work together with the Team Lead and Family to plan how best to support the Foster or Adoptive Family.
-
This is an intentional and relational way for the church to help those families who Foster and/or Adopt. It's the church family living into Galatians 6:2 together: "Bear one another's burdens, and therefore fulfill the law of Christ."
-
Not all are called to Foster and/or Adopt but Support Friends help those who are called. Foster and Adoption Support Teams help the local church to all be involved in Foster and/or Adoption in some way as members of one body.
