The kingdom ministry of Jesus was a ministry of word and deed. We seek to display God’s heart for justice by pursuing gospel reconciliation across racial, economic, generational, and political divides. We seek to show mercy to the “least of these” in our community: the immigrant, trafficked, poor, abused, overlooked, addicted, widowed, disabled, and especially to the unborn and the orphan (Micah 6:8; Matthew 25:34–40; Ephesians 2:11–20).

Local Outreach update 2025
The local outreach team has largely reached a rhythm while keeping a focus on the orphan and the refugee. (We have a separate ministry for widows.) The Foster and Adoptive Support Teams (FAST) continue to support families within our congregation that face unique challenges of being foster and adoptive families. Assisting with the larger foster community in our area is the reason we give to Boxes of Love at Christmas time so they can continue to provide foster families with clothing, blankets, toys, and supplies.
LOVE INC Love In the Name of Christ
"The body of Christ is God’s answer to community brokenness and a part of His plan of redemption and restoration."
Love INC is a national organization with local community chapters. They foster collaboration with local churches providing material, social, and spiritual care for our local neighbors in need. They come alongside to help churches serve their neighbors through resources and relationships.
Love INC becomes the central hub to coordinate volunteer efforts and resources and provide specific, manageable opportunities to reach out with God's love to people in need, including those outside our congregation.
BOXES OF LOVE

Boxes of Love provides babies and children entering the foster care system, with a large box of new clothing, pajamas, shoes, and other comfort items to call their own.
By providing for their physical needs, they hope to give them a small sense of comfort, security, and happiness. They want every infant and child to know they are special, they are valued, they matter, and they are loved.
SERVE EAST COUNTY

Serve East County exists to help local churches serve our community together. This unity in service advances our gospel witness to our community and helps us value other local churches by working together.
Every August, we partner with other local churches to gather to bless and serve East County. We do this because we take seriously our responsibility to go and be a blessing in our neighborhood.
Locations that we serve include East Gresham Elementary, My Fathers House, Gresham Pregnancy Resource Center, and Sandy Grade School.
Be on the look out for the dates for Serve East County August 2025!
IMMIGRANT CONNECTION PDX

Immigrant Connection PDX is a low cost immigration legal services office that is a part of the Immigrant Connection National Network.
As if filing court paperwork wasn't challenging enough, there are 18+ ways to obtain legal status to live in the US. Immigrant Connection PDX helps immigrants find and maintain the status that best fits their situation and file papers for a very low cost.
The organization is mostly volunteer run, but funding is needed so legal representatives can be available more days each week to help more families, as well as help families who have challenges with the cost to file paperwork.
